Is USB3.0 eMMC Module Writer recommended?

Unread post by odroid_newuser » Tue Mar 24, 2020 11:59 pm

Hi, for the XU4/N2/H2, if I buy the eMMC Module Reader Board for OS upgrade, is it recommended to buy also the USB3.0 eMMC Module Writer?

Only if you plan to write the emmc (or multiple emmcs) frequently. Otherwise use the microsd-emmc adapter and a usb-micro-sd reader.

Thanks. Some users mentioned about microsd-emmc adapter. I cannot find it in the product page. Is it the same as "eMMC Module Reader Board for OS upgrade"?

They don't sell any. If you don't have a reliable one, I think it's best to get the usb-emmc writer, to avoid bad sd card readers.
