USB External Storage

Unread post by seven777 » Tue Mar 24, 2020 6:24 pm

Hi Guys,

Noob here that just bought an N2. For starters I want to run a simple Plex server with USB External Drive as storage.
I already did a bit of research about N2, USB storage and still have a couple of questions:
  1. Does N2 take advantage of USB 3.2 Gen 1? Or should I stick with USB 3.0 ?
  2. Can I use an USB powered device? I checked a thread that seemed to say that I could depending on the Power supply amp (viewtopic.php?f=176&t=33932&p=267210&hi ... ge#p267210)
  3. I was thinking of using something like this ... sb-3-2-hdd, is it a good option?
Thank you,

1 No; max speed is 3.0 but 3.2 etc should be compatible.

2 correct

3 should work, you can get a power adapter if required.
