Transfer Android From SD to eMMC

Unread post by tublanka » Thu Feb 13, 2020 2:22 am

I have successfully installed Android to my SD card and all is running well, albeit a little slow. I am assuming that things will speed up if I run from eMMC instead.

When I have previously run with OpenElec I can run the command installtoemmc from the terminal to do this for me. Is there an equivalent command I can use with the Android build?

Do you want to transfer your current android sd to emmc? Is the emmc the same size as the sd or is it bigger?

If you are familiar with the command to use "dd", you can just "dd" ing from SD to eMMC. This will corrupt the last half of SD on eMMC, but you would be able to boot from eMMC at least. Then try to get into fastboot mode after booting from eMMC, connect USB cable from PC to N2, do run "fastboot oem fdisk" that rebuild the partition table. This won't corrupt your SD if don't make a mistake with "dd" command.
