Emulator save states

Unread post by notmuch83 » Wed Feb 12, 2020 4:06 pm

Got my advance yesterday, absolutely love it. Played on Donkey Kong Country for a few hours yesterday and came back this morning and for some reasons the game holds no saves and the whole game has started fresh.

Am I missing something?, how do I get it to save my progress?

Are you leaving the game then shutting down or are you shutting down while in game?

Leaving the game then shutting down, interestingly PlayStation games seem to be saving fine and I can see all my save files in odroid folder on the sdcard including the SNES .sav files.

** issue now resolved **

Fixed by reflashing image, save states now working again.

But there is a bug with current image in that actual saves via the emulators (in game saves) do not work.

Are there supposed to be save states for all consoles? They work great in PS1, shutting down or going to menu creates a save and it instantly goes back to the game. However N64 or PSP don't seem to have save states like that (as far as i can tell). Using reference image.

PSP has its own save state support (press F6 for menu). N64 currently does not have save state support.

thanks for all your hard work, crashoverride (and everyone else)!

are the function key mappings documented anywhere? I'm having trouble finding a list of the bindings on this forum or on the wiki. perhaps a README should accompany the base image with these details?
