[MC1] is MrDreamBots docker swarm image still up to date?

Unread post by o_lampe » Thu Jan 02, 2020 7:16 pm

Hi,
the docker_getting_started OS-image is from 2017. Is it the best image to start from or were there later ones/other options?

Thanks in advance
Olaf

I'd start with the latest ubuntu 18.04 minimal image and install docker on top. You'll benefit from newer kernel and packages

As a test I installed docker on a RasPi-3 yesterday. I had to install kernel-headers before docker.
Would that be the same with MC1?
Anything else I have to do when using the XU4 image? ( i.e. switching off GPU )

Is there an installation guide or bash file for Armbian to install docker?
Or is it simply:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install docker

?

Anyway, thanks for pointing me to Armbian, I'll have look.

softy -> install docker

sudo apt-get install docker-ce (you can only install community edition)
