Specifically for the OGA port, it'd be nice for ES to have a Screensaver option added for '0 brightness', so the backlight would actually turn off, a la 'batocera-brightness 0' from a shell :)

I love this System! Thank you so much for portging Batocera!

But...three small Issues:

Where do I put Sega Saturn Roms?

How can I config Inputs on Dreamcast? (L/R are on L2/R2)

Why does it not recognize my BIOS Files? I put all PSX BIOS in, still Batocera says missing

Thank you

It doesn't look like sega saturn is supported right now, here is the list of systems https://batocera.org/upgrades/odroidgoa ... eport.html.
To configure dreamcast controls, open the retroarch menu, then goto the controls section of the quick menu.
After that you need to goto port1 controls. When there scroll down to l button and r button, and hit either right or left on the dpad until they are set to L and R trigger respectively. Then go back to the controls menu and either save a core or game remap file.

Edit: For the missing bios files, the bios files you have are either improperly named, or have a different md5 hash than the one batocera requires.

Thanks for posting that. Realize it's in the same folder as the updates, however never opened this file.
Do you know what the two tones of purple mean? There is a legend but the colors aren't mentioned.

Hi Amiga OGA Fans. Do you have poor scrolling performance on lates build (3/14)? It looks like some kind refresh rate issue (When test on NTSC option there is no problem, but my games are on PAL and refuse to work that way )

Ps. Tested on North & South (Armadillo logo on start)

um can someone help, I dont know whats wrong Iam using batocera V.525
this morning I test My oga after moving som N64 rom. and when I select the game no matter what games it is, it wont play anymore? it just keep going back to the game selection list after batocera image shown.
When you say: "it won't play anymore", do you mean it worked before?
Can you check under system info the date of your batocera image and post here?
Well I reflashed the image everythingg is working again. Might be because some corrupted file in share or batocera partition.

Can someone tell me how to start playing Amiga games? I am on the image from 14 March, games run but can't get passed the trainer before the actual game. Using select-B found the menu but not sure how to set up the controls?

Default control type for odroid joypad is Port 1 (Joystick). Probably you need press left mouse to pass the trainer. To select mouse control enter amiberry menu (select-B), select "Input" (scrolling by odroid joypad) and change Port 0 to "odroid joypad". Next to it you will find "default" option. You need to change it to "mouse". You can close the amiberry menu and pass the trainer. Probably :)

Thanks! I got past the trainer! was a bit tricky to change settings as the highlight color is really hard to see. I could also change options in the trainer this way. Need to play around but at least I know where to look.

I've got the most bizzare issue with v5.25 Stable (2020-03-14). So I write the image with Etcher, I then put it in the OGA to expand the file system. I them put the card in Windows and mount with the linux filew system for windows, i then copy my roms. They all show correctly on Windows but when i put it in my OGA the roms do not show there! it's as if I made no changes whatso ever. If i then put the card back in my pc the files show up ok. Anyone else had this issue? I never had this with previous versions.

100% make sure you 'Unmount' in the Paragon driver, and wait until it actually finishes (and the option changes back to say 'Mount'), and then try Safely Remove/Eject USB blahblahblah in the system tray, and only -then- take the drive out.

I have resolved the issue. It seems there is a bug in the latest Etcher. I am using v1.5.79. I switched to Win32DiskImager and it now works fine, no problems. Hope this might help others.

Seems like the Paragon software has issues. You can also try spinning up a VM with VMware on your computer. Another option is using Firezilla and ssh into the OGA

Thanks qnhoang81, but as stated the issue was with Etcher

Edit: Spoke too soon! I copied more roms then put it back in the OGA and back to square one! no roms showing up, totally bizzare.

Not sure what you mean by permanently, since the setting stays at whatever you set it to...either via EmulationStation 'Start' (button VI at under the screen), or using buttons V and VI under the screen (for brightness- and brightness+ each press). When you shut down, it saves the current brightness to a file in (userdata)/system on your SD card, and loads it on boot...

Hi,

I downloaded LEGENDARY Odroid GO Advance 128 GB Batocera 5.25 from MikOzzZ. Awesome !

BUT when I press F4, the brightness decreases. However I use F4 as the touch Start.

How did you configure a controller?

Thanks a lot !

In the latest 20200321 update the battery indicator disappeared again?

And returning to ES with the usual F1/F6 buttons gives a black screen only?? Hard reset for restart is the only way to make it run again?

Seems that it might only effect retroarch. Also retroarch doesn't have video_hw_scaling anymore.

If I can download the image from 1fichier, as it’s an awkward way to download each single .rar file, I’ll install it and let you know

It should be work, but you don´t need to flash SD to update version just unzip files boot.tar.xz on first partition. Try to install previus version fat32.

There is an official Wiki, including this
https://wiki.batocera.org/doku.php?id=upgrade_manually

Also works with the fat32 version.

Hey all, first of all. big props to what is my opinion the best build for the OGA. Has been my daily driver for the past 2 months. Getting a hell of a lot of use out of it.

EDIT: updated my machine to 3/14 stable build last night, all the little things that were annoying me from the last version seem to be resolved. Great job guys :D

Hi to all, I'm trying to save a retroarch configuration, the only options that I've touched is the screen ratio and the buttons binding config but I'm unable to save and load the config: after saving if I try to reload nothing happens.
What I'm doing wrong? It's possible to save or I need to redo all everytime I ran game?
Thank you

This is what I did.
Enter in the system that you want to change the ratio and keys. Choose any game and star the game. Enter in retroarch. Change the ratio and keys. As soon Is changed, go back to Quick Menu and go to Overrides and choose the option Save Core Overrides.
That system will be saved with the ratio and keys that you want. Sorry for my English.

Hi,

I would like to play MSX games. Especially Konami games, Antarctic Adventure, Athletic Land.
But this games need to press key 1 to star to play.

Can you say me how do that ?
On retroarch I do not find how map key 1.

Thanks.

Wow thank you, yep now it work like a charm! I want to add that if you use "Save Game Override" you can also save a config for each game.

Another question: how to access to the service menu of the arcade games?

After this advices i can say that, I'm using the "mikozz legendary image", Batocera is, at the moment, by far the best image for this handheld!

Thank you!

Hi:

Enter in Mame system or Arcade system, depends where you have the mame games. Open a game and open retroarch. In Quick Menu go to Options and choose Display MAME Menu ON. Change whatever you want to change and go back.
I recommend you that in mame menu in Inputs choose a key for Config Menu and another for Select.
Later open again Retroarch and in Quick Menu go to Options and change Display Mame Menu Off. Because if you don't do that the MAME Menu will be always on.
In the future when you want to change something in a game, just press the key that you select for Config Menu and change whatever you want in each game and you don't have to save anything, because mame alone save the config of that game.
To exit of the menu you press the same key that you press for Display the mame menu and the menu is gone.
i hope that you understand this.
I created my own image.
This just works with mame games not with fba games.

There's a way to map a combination of keys to enter the service menu? We don't have enough single buttons..

When you say service menu, I suppose that you mean the mame menu where you change keys in the game, dip switches, etc?

Loving Batocera. Takes a little longer to load than some of the other images, but the wait is worth it. Only thing I'm really hoping for would be the addition of Kodi soon. I haven't got the foggiest how to build it myself, and from what I've read it SHOULD be able to support the kernel display mode driver that's being used right now so hopefully it's in the pipe. I mean, it's not absolutely *crucial* to have it, but it feels like it'd just solidly complete a really polished image.

Thanks to the devs who have been hard at work on this!

I mean the arcade machine menus, where you can change difficulty, volume, numbers of coins to play etc... right now i can enter by opening the mame menu as you suggest me and then remap a button to enter the arcade menu but with only one button so i need to remap a button every time i need to enter because with only one button combination i don't have enough buttons available on the odroid to let this button have only this function.
If i try to enter a combination like select+B or so it don't work..

Hope make sense

This is what i have:

When you are in a mame game:
The R1 button to enter in the menu. The L1 to select. Later you just have to change in that menu the buttons A,B,X,Y and return to the main menu where says Input (general), and return again to exit. Mame save automatically the configuration.

Later in the future, you just have to enter in a mame game, and before the game start, just press the R1 button to enter in the menu, and with the L1 select what you want if you want change something for all the games, change whatever you need, and that's all.
If you want to change something for that game, choose the option Input (this game) and whatever you change will be just for that game.

In both options when you finish choose return to game and that menu will disappear and you can play the game with your options or if you want all the games with the same options, change it in Input (General)

The R1 and L1 is my option, you can choose any button of your preferences.

New beta released dated April 8th. Will try it tomorrow.

Update: Just installed. Menu comes back again after closing a a game (was not working in versions after March 14th). Battery icon still missing, even though activated in settings. Otherwise running fine so far.
