MCP4725 Xu4 i2c

Hi,
I read in:
viewtopic.php?t=24020
viewtopic.php?t=15343
that people had issues connecting their xu4 with adafruits MCP4725-dac using the shifter shield. https://www.adafruit.com/product/935.
If I dont use the shifter shield, odroids SCL,SDA will have 1.8V. I dont think that the dac will work with this either, right?

The DAC minimum working voltage is 3.3Volt while XU4 IO voltage is 1.8Volt.
So you need a simple and cheap level shifter board on the I2C lanes something like this. (BSS138 implemented)
https://www.adafruit.com/product/757
https://www.hardkernel.com/shop/level-s ... v-to-3-3v/

We tested it with XU4 I2C bus.

Thank you very much! I gonna save a lot of money not needing your level shifter shield anymore.
