What odroid model is the monitor connected to?
On N2 it's in /sys/devices/virtual/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/edid

it`s on my rpi-4...sorry to have placed this here but the ubuntu support is still very lacking as the 64 bit 19.10 server image i am using the mate desktop @2Ghs i am impressed with the board actually ... is still new to the game..
i thought there may have been some Ubuntu generic code that is used to retrieve this information,,,thkx

i have setup the vnc as per your notes as well to get my n-1 going..still not quite there as i have to do a lot of rearranging of my work space ..etc..etc

Hi phaseshifter,

If you use Rpi ubuntu image, you can use the following normal way.
https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/

(1) Install read-edid and edid-decode

Code: Select all

$ sudo apt-get install read-edid
$ sudo apt-get install edid-decode
(2) Read edid from your monitor

Code: Select all

$ sudo get-edid > ~/mymonitor_edid.bin
(3) Parse the binary

Code: Select all

$ cat ~/mymonitor_edid.bin | edid-decode
