Android 64 - keyboard (virtual, physical)

Unread post by atwar » Sat Nov 02, 2019 5:13 pm

Android 64bit doesn't see my Riitek I8 keyboard. It working generally, but:
a) doesn't work ENTER,
b) virtual keyboard shows always (switch in settings doesn't affect)

When I switch off AOSP keyboard it looks ok, but this ENTER ...
On 32bit everything working properly.

I can confirm the same issues here with my 64-bit build of Android 9, and my Logitech MK710 keyboard. The 32-bit builds work fine.

In the meantime I think you could use the app Button Mapper as a workaround.

Thanks rooted, sounds like a great app! I'll try it to remap some hardcoded buttons (netflix and such) on my Philips Android TV...

No problem, that's what I use it for. I have long press menu to launch YouTube, long press back to kill foreground app, and a few others.

It will work to remap Netflix but unless you have Netflix disabled it will launch Netflix and then your desired app, shortcut, etc. At least it does on my ATV, YMMV.

My tv is not rooted (yet), so I can't uninstall the apps. Not sure if I can disable them from settings...

That's what I mean, you can usually disable system level third party apps such as Netflix and Hulu.
