Did anyone get "Docker Compose" to work with any Odroid device ?

Unread post by Gerry » Sun Sep 29, 2019 10:16 pm

Hi all,
I'm trying to get "Docker Compose" to work. "Compose" is not in the list of supported platforms for ARM64 and has to be built on its own.
I found 4 ways to get that done, but none works.

These are the links I found:

https://blog.alexellis.io/get-started-w ... 64-bit-arm
https://github.com/ubiquiti/docker-compose-aarch64
https://blog.slucas.fr/blog/docker-comp ... ll-debian/
https://medium.com/@james_devcomb/docke ... 47903e0c21

None of them works for me. So I wonder if anybody has got it to work.

Thanks
Gerry

Hi.

apt install docker-compose should work. But it isn't the latest version.

Or you can install it using pip. Please refer to the official documents: https://docs.docker.com/compose/install ... -using-pip (Install compose -> Alternative install options)
This works for me.

Code: Select all

# Pre requirements
apt install libffi-dev libssl-dev python3 python3-dev python3-pip
# And install Docker referring to this guide; https://docs.docker.com/install/linux/docker-ce/ubuntu/

# Install docker-compose
python3 -m pip install docker-compose

# If it needed..
whereis docker-compose | awk '{ print $2 }' | xargs chmod +x

# Test
root@odroid:~# docker-compose --version
docker-compose version 1.24.1, build 4667896
