Unread post by gsgs » Tue Aug 13, 2019 3:56 pm

I connected an ethernet cable and firefox in Linux works.

But in Android I cannot turn wifi on. That little circle gets increased and reddish but cannot be
moved to the right with the mouse.i may have changed some of the other settings,
but don't remember which.

Build number odroidn2-eng 9 PPR1.180610.011 20190509 test-keys

bought on eMMc at ebay

Do you still have ethernet connected? If so, unplug it and try it again. I had the same problem on Android and found out that wifi only works when there's no active ethernet connection.

sorry, seems that I didn't know, what wifi is.
... looked it up : https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wi-Fi
The "wi" probably stands for wireless, I'm not yet there.
I'm just trying to get it to work with cable first.

OK, I am already connected ;-)

No need to turn wifi on and type in the password
(as I was used to do from my tablets and raspberries)
And for the Odroid I need a usb-stick to do (wireless) wifi .

I see.

Funny enough, a similar situation happened to me aswell. Since I only had TV boxes for my TV, I didn't realize at first that the odroid-n2 doesn't have a wifi chip.
So I was pressing the wifi-enable-switch several times and already was disappointed because I thought I had to get a RMA going, but then I saw that there's no wifi module on the board at all :D
