Is hardkernel going to release an SBC with ECC RAM?

Unread post by crocket » Fri Jul 26, 2019 4:25 pm

If an SBC has ECC RAM and USB 3.0 ports, I can connect a USB 3 HDD enclosure to it and use it as a NAS.

Without ECC RAM, bitrots are going to happen on my HDDs.

If hardkernel released an SBC with ECC RAM, I'd be thankful.

Think about odroid n2 with 4GB ECC RAM. It's a versatile machine that can serve as a NAS and a multi-purpose low-power server.

SoC must support ECC memory ... The only known relatively cheap SBC on the market with ECC is Helios4 https://www.armbian.com/helios4/ or any Clearfog combination ... since they share SOM.
