HC1 not working

Unread post by savery1967 » Thu Jul 25, 2019 10:19 pm

I recently purchased an Odroid HC1 (#HK1907082520) an am unable to use it.

When plugging it in, the power and alive lights are on but the HDD operating light does not.

When searching for the IP address, I can't find the Odroid.

I think it might be the OS "installed" on the SD card supposedly purchased on this order is not installed.

Is the blue led blinking? Can you try flashing the latest ubuntu minimal image with etcher to your sd card?

"When plugging it in, the power and alive lights are on"

It was purchased with the OS supposedly installed on the SD card but the files shown on the card don't look like an OS.

Does the HDD working light only light up with a properly installed OS?

If the blue alive LED keeps flashing like hearbeat, we can say the OS Kernel is running at least.

Can you check the LED status on the RJ45 jack?
Green LED flashes when there is 100Mbps connectivity
Amber LED flashes when there is 1000Mbps connectivity

Hardware looks fine.

The OS image in the SD card might be corrupted by unknown causes.
Please download this OS image.
https://wiki.odroid.com/odroid-xu4/os_i ... 03-minimal
And flash the OS image to your SD card with Etcher.

Please note that, the first booting process might need one minutes and the system turns off automatically.
So you have to unplug and plug the DC plug to run the system again.
