Can't update to linux-odroid-n2_4.9.180-30_arm64

Unread post by fonix232 » Tue Jun 11, 2019 9:47 pm

Yesterday, a new kernel image was pushed to the Odroid N2 repo, namely linux-odroid-n2_4.9.180-30_arm64

I've been trying to upgrade to it, however with all tries, apt upgrade dies here:

Code: Select all

Processing triggers for initramfs-tools (0.131ubuntu19) ...
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-4.9.180-30
What's going wrong? It's quite annoying that I can't run the update...

As far as I remember, it took over 10 minutes at that point when I updated from 4.9.177-28 to 4.9.180-30.
We will check why it takes so long.
Other users also had no issue while updating to 4.9.180 : viewtopic.php?f=177&t=34659#p259116 , viewtopic.php?f=177&t=35297&p=259089#p259085

How long did you wait?

I've waited about 15 minutes, after that I've terminated my SSH session (remote).

However after running it again, it worked fine after ~20 minutes.

Also, is there a chance you'll start pushing Cosmic and Disco repos for the N2?

No. We will support only LTS versions as we did.
