I have no idea how DRM things work with Chromium browser.
But the widevine-drm with Kodi 18.2 could play the DRM protected Netflix videos.

i mean, before spotify switched to this new style of webplayer, i was able to use the old player just fine. i think it was flash based .
ima definetly check that out, GBM driver interests me a lot, although i still prefer the good ol chromium

I FOUND THE SOLUTION (if anyone is interested)

viewtopic.php?f=98&t=34284

steps are exactly the same as there. though it didn't work with the specified user agent, but it DOES WORK with the default one. for the most part, at least.

Glad to know the same Widevine library could work with Spotify too.
Thank you for sharing the solution. :D
