xu4 - deleted all initrd.image* by accident

Unread post by dandelot » Fri May 10, 2019 12:03 am

There were a lot of old initrd.image* in /boot and though I only meant to
delete some very old ones.... I accidentally deleted them all.
Oh no.

System is live, but I'm afraid it now won't boot (were I to try that).

uInitrd-4.14.111-158 (and a few earlier ones still exist.

Try sudo apt install --reinstall linux-odroid-5422 and it will generate an initrd.img.

Initrd.img files are not used on ODROIDs.
They are only used to create the uInitrd files which are used instead.
You can create new Initrd.img files with:

Code: Select all

update-initramfs -c -k all
Donate to support my work on the ODROID GameStation Turbo Image for U2/U3 XU3/XU4 X2 X C1 as well as many other releases.
Check out the Games and Emulators section to find some of my work or check the files in my repository to find the software i build for ODROIDs.
If you want to add my repository to your image read my HOWTO integrate my repo into your image.
