Netflix on CoreELEC in South Korea. It has played about more than 30 minutes and It looks working flawlessly. It just needs to install Korean fonts.

Yes, you can install it as an add-on. :)

Perhaps you've already installed the other packages that need to come with that, they are guided in runtime. The plugin will show which the other packages needed.

If you have ignition odriod n2 with coreelect, you leave it on with transmission ... If you turn off the TV, when no output is detected by the hdmi, it automatically turns off ... so I have to have the TV on so that transmission work. I am forced to delete this S.O

I have some tested to check audio passthrough using CoreELEC 190508 version.

We have a Yamaha RX-V585 audio receiver that supports DTS:X and Dolby Atmos.

Set it up with Yamaha 5.1 channel speaker set and 4K TV.
Then set Kodi audio settings to set speaker channels and to allow audio passthrough.

Then played trailer videos for these codecs. The files name are:
- DTSX_Demo_2016.m2ts
- dolby-atmos-trailer_amaze_1080.mp4

Both are working very well. :)

Will it be possible to grab the screen when playing hardware decoded videos in coreelec? I want to run Hyperion (https://hyperion-project.org/) to get ambilight on my TV, but it requires that it is possible to grab screenshots of the video playing.
I'm currently running a Rock64Pro, but is having a hard time getting it working on this board when playing hardware decoded videos, so I am considering buying an Odroid N2 if it is possible to get it working on that

It is supported out of the box with Hyperion.NG (it's in our repo)

wow, that was one painless install!

7.1 Master Audio passthrough worked after finding the menu option. Scraped my NFS share of 975 movies in less than 20mins. Just need to find a hardware remote now.

Outstanding job! thanks!

Grabbed an N2 for my mom and installed CoreElec, and I'm here to report another satisfied customer. Been doing some testing and aside from a few shows not scraping correctly it's been working perfectly!

Setup an external 8TB drive and to my surprised it picked it up without issue. I figured i'd need to format it to ext4, I didn't expect to have NTFS support out of the box! SFTP works great so I can send her things she asks for, and the Kodi controller app for android also works great.

I assume with auto update on i shouldn't need to worry about manually reflashing the SD card with official stable releases?

I have noticed one thing and I'm not sure how to proceed. I'm not sure if this is a CoreElec issue, or Kodi or what.

I'm trying to scrape a old TV show, but it refuses to do so. According to the debug logs it's finding an episode match for every single episode but once it gets to the end it's trying to make a call to api.thetvdb.com for an episode list, then fails.

Thinking it was an issue with thetvdb I first tried disabling that scraper, then just completely uninstalled it but no matter what I still get that call to api.thetvdb.com despite the fact it's been removed. The only scraper installed atm is "The Movie Database". I'll be honest I'm new to scraping, so perhaps I've missed something but I checked and the address for TMDB is api.themoviedb.org

Probably me just being blind, but any ideas?

I won't post the debug for all 11 seasons, just the last few and the error:

It doesn't work clean or updating.
No, just a black screen and no heartbeat. Is there any log file written in the SD? I have a 2GB N2, a FHD TV and a RTC battery.

There is currently an issue with Overclocking and this new 4.9.177 Kernel. This kernel was added 2 days ago. But it boots here.

I'm using an 1A power source. You think this could be the reason?

Hi, I have a N2 (4G model) and cannot get it to boot with CoreElec (only the red LED lit)
I've tried to write the image to the SD card with win32diskimager, and libreelec usb-sd creator.
The 512MB partition is created, with what I think would be all the files, and the other non-windows partition is also there.
I've even tried moving (and re-naming to dtb.img) some of the N2 .dtb files from the device tree folder to the root folder, but that has not worked either.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong? I'm using a 2GB SD Card - could that be the issue?

Thanks

I've just tried a different (8GB) SD card and it worked first time so I think the 2GB card is either too small, or too slow..

Thanks

We do u-boot stuff too. I know how to keep the power on in u-boot. I just need to integrate an interrupt source.
still hoping for that one ;-) although I think other stuff is much more important and I might be the only one with this, "power on via USB through USB-keyboard kexpress" usecase ...

Is it feasible that CoreELEC adopt the same Kodi fork of this LibreELEC fork that is able to play 3D MVC files?

HSBS-3D.mkv

Some movies:
Jurassic World 1080p 3D-SBS.mkv (with external .srt subtitles)
Star.Wars.Episode.VII.The.Force.Awakens.mkv (with external .srt subtitles)

All above work perfectly on my 3D TV.

I have an LG 3D TV, and can say that ALL 3D samples and 3D movies I have play correctly on N2 with latest nightly:

Some Samples:
3D ISO sample with pop-out and depth.iso
3D Subs in 3D ISO Sample.iso
ISO-full3D-sample.iso
3D-full-MVC.mkv
HSBS-3D.mkv

Some movies:
Jurassic World 1080p 3D-SBS.mkv (with external .srt subtitles)
Star.Wars.Episode.VII.The.Force.Awakens.mkv (with external .srt subtitles)

All above work perfectly on my 3D TV.
The SBS files play fine, but the full MVC ones don't. Maybe it's some tricky setting I'm missing. There is no "hardware" 3D mode option, like in raspberry's LibreELEC.

The 2 samples I tried, "3D-full-MVC.mkv" and "ISO-full3D-sample.iso", are full MVC ones and play OK by me with hardware decoding, so no need for any "hardware 3D mode" option.

To correct myself, only 3D-SBS and 3D-TAB content plays in proper 3D and 3D-MVC content plays back in 2D.

Just arrived bought the 4 gb version, I will try it when CoreELEC will be available official version, shame you don't mount the integrated WIFI module like the Raspberry 4 however it is a small neo surmountable. I look forward to official CoreElec. Hello and congratulations for the forum.

@odroid. We support VDR, TVheadend etc. TVH is the easiest for users to setup I think. We have a lot of users using TVH and DVB already and there is no issues. Only thing we noticed is this USB3 power issue that is causing USB sticks to fail with signal. I thing the user @rosenrot reported it here too.
What do you recommend fpr N2 to get USB3 throughput with proper power supply enough for TV-B2 sticks? I am planning my N2 buy. ;-)

Does one step more mean more than 2.004 and 1.992? We've tried like 2.2 but failed.
