Installing drivers build: No such file or directory. Stop.

Unread post by kappahd » Tue Jan 15, 2019 4:46 am

I have been trying hours of ways to install the wifi stick drivers for over a day and I cant seem to do it. I decided to follow this way https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJ0gcA778Ms .

Here are the steps in the video:
*sudo apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r) build-essential git
* git clone https://github.com/scrivy/rtl8812AU_8821AU_linux
* cd rtl8812AU_8821AU_linux
* make
* sudo make install
* sudo modprobe rtl8812au
* reboot

The first step fails but I tried this as an alterative:
* apt-get install linux-image-odroidxu4

Then when I move to the step "make" I get the following error:
make ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE= -C /lib/modules/4.9.103-odroidxu4/build M=/root/rtl8812AU_8821AU_linux modules
make[1]: *** /lib/modules/4.9.103-odroidxu4/build: No such file or directory. Stop.
Makefile:1584: recipe for target 'modules' failed
make: *** [modules] Error 2

Can anyone help please :(

Use the latest Ubuntu 18.04 image instead of the old one.
It has a proper Linux header files for Kernel 4.14.
