ODROID Magazine January Issue Available! (5 Year Anniversary)

Unread post by robroy » Sun Jan 13, 2019 12:02 am

We are excited to announce that it’s our 5th anniversary of the ODROID magazine! Justin Lee, CEO of Hardkernel, gives us the history of the company in our “Meet An ODROIDian” section. Additionally, Bruno does an amazing job of giving us a retrospective of ODROID magazine in his article. If you are nostalgic for Dreamcast games, @AreaScout teaches us how to build Reicast, a Dreamcast emulator, for our ODROID. The kernel for the XU4 gets some interesting changes to allow automatic frame rate control which every Kodi fan should read. Michael Larabel of phoronix.com, gives us his review of the ODROID-XU4. For our ODROID-C2 we have a look @Epeios’s Atlas Toolkit, a python toolkit for remote control of GPIO.

I loved the magazine retrospective! I remember reading most articles - my, how time flies when you're having fun :)
There is a small mistake in the XU4 article - it claims it has built-in wifi.

https://magazine.odroid.com/article/mee ... ardkernel/

Question: How customers have been changing/evolving since recent 5 years from your point of view?
Why did company name itself Hardkernel? What's the meaning?

Thx

Why did company name itself Hardkernel?
I'm guessing that MicroSoft was already taken Image
