I have Odroid C2, and from the start I am experiencing strange behauviour in "hot boots / reboots". It goes fine in 15% hot boots (without turning power source off, just command reboot). In failed reboots, blue LED blinking, C2 starts booting, but linux booting fails early (attached screenshot).
For me it seems as linux start booting (read from SD card), but the disk (aka storage on USB) are not prepared/inicialized to read/write (for example machine-id is on USB disc).
At this point I am not sure, if its Kodi related, (SD +)USB disc boot related, or HW related.. Because symptoms dissapears on cold boot. When I do cold boot (ie. turn power off/on), boot process completes sucesfully, dont have problems there.
Do you think, it could be because SD Card(s)? I am using the same SD Cards, as on Rpi2's, which C2 replacing. Is C2 somehow more picky to the SD Cards? Or could it be that there is problem when inicializing disk partition because USB flashdisc somehow dont acts properly when reboot command is issued?
I am using ELEC system (which uses system partition as read only), and for disk-storage I am using USB dongle:
bootrootfs boot=UUID=<UUID SD Card FAT partition> disk=UUID=<UUID USB Flashdisc ext4 partition>
so SD card is used only on start, and no other writes coming towards it (so no need to High End /Speed etc.).
But I need to have reliable reboot (often I am rebooting remotelly, without physical access to the C2, so it would be big problem for me).
Cards I tried was Kingston usually, Class 4, 16 GB. One Sandisk 2GB card (older) in other hand, doesnt boot at all (I tried also disableuhs parameter), despite on Rpi works fine by years.. Power source is stock HK, removed jumper.
