Screen Brightness

Unread post by oldchap » Mon Jan 07, 2019 11:38 pm

Is there a work around that Hardkernel can do to change the brightness applet in Ubuntu's panel to work for HDMI TV screens. It says that it is for laptop screens and yes it dont work. My TV has settings in the TV menu but only 3 settings. The lowest is still way too bright, my eyes burn like I am electric welding using sun glasses. On my laptop I turn down the brightness to 50% to have a comfortable screen. I have +4 lenses in my specks, hardly coke bottle lenses.

There may be apps that allow you to filter colors for your desktop - to reduce eye strain. I don't have any names handy though.
