C2 Android Screen broken HDMI

Unread post by hangisool » Wed Dec 19, 2018 10:26 am

I have installed the Android app on the C2 board.
The device is on almost all day and the app is always on.
Sometimes the following problems appear on some boards.
Attach videos and photos.
VNC (the method of continuously transmitting the captured pictures) is different between the remote screen and the actual screen.
I really do not know what the problem is.
The problem is the same when you turn off the app.
Why does the vnc remote screen crash?
And do you think that even more serious screen breaks occur on the actual screen?
I also do not know why different screens are expressed.

Which app do you run on the C2?
Any clue in logcat outputs?
Did you install the latest Android Marshmallow v4.8 OS image?

Download the video and photos with ftp and display the surfaceview and imageview on the fragment. When I look at the symptoms, I get symptoms when there is movement on the screen.
In logcat, nothing is displayed. The symptom is the same even if you close your app completely.
Android version is 6.0.1 and kernel version is 3.14.29.

Can you share the app to reproduce the issue on our side?

The symptoms disappear when you reset the power. However, it will happen again over time.
To fully implement the same environment, you need a Windows PC program and server PC, IP settings, apk, and filezilla server.
Where can I share apk?

Too much complicated. We don't have a Windows PC either.

Is there any simpler way to reproduce the issue?

Can you check "dmesg" output from adb shell access?
Since there was no clue in your logcat output, something could be wrong with Kernel or your apk memory leak.

You can upload the apk any server where you are convenient and let us have the link to download.
Also, I suggest to capture the logcat as well as kernel log and share with us.

You can also just install and test apk. However, the reboot function does not work.

Could the apk memory leak be the cause of the symptom after I've completely shut down the app?
Do I have to check dmesg when I have symptoms?

It would be a good idea to check dmesg when the problem happens.
You can capture the screen with the command line tool screencap if the picture on screen buffer is correct or not. screencap will give you a .PNG of running screen.

Share the link.
Folders other than apk files can be copied to Odroid SD card Storage and installed using apk.
