Any custom patches for usb/lan?

Unread post by mehditlili » Mon Dec 03, 2018 7:06 pm

Hi everybody,
I compiled and loaded a custom kernel (4.4.0-138-generic, from the main kernel repository) on the Odroid XU4. It runs okay so far but I have noticed that USB struggles to delivers the normal throughput. When I plug a 3d camera (Kinect like), It seems to not be able to deliver both depth and color images at the same time.

I noticed that the hardkernel linux diverges highly from master
(This branch is 8549 commits ahead, 89691 commits behind torvalds:master.)

Can anybody point me to those commits that specifically address the usb problem and fix it so that I can patch my kernel?

Thanks

Why are you not using the newer and better supported 4.14 kernel?

Sorry there was a mistake, I was talking about kernel version 4.17 (and eventually newer versions),
And for not using the 4.14 offered by Hardkernel, I guess for security reasons the company where I work doesn't appreciate using a fork of the official linux kernel that diverges by 8549 commits.

If you want everything on the device to function you will need to run 4.14.y from Hardkernel.

Otherwise run mainline and deal with what doesn't work.

HK said they would port everything to 4.19 early next year, but it will still be a fork of the kernel
