Is there any board that can support from Kitkat to Oreo?

Unread post by gounthar » Sat Sep 08, 2018 11:22 pm

Hi there,

the XU4 supports Kitkat by default (I installed it), but it looks like the community developed a port of LineageOS corresponding to Nougat and Oreo.
I have seen that the community developped a Marshmallow port of CM for it and a Lollipop port too.
I have two questions:
  • do these ports work correctly?
  • Is there any cheaper Odroid card that has all these ports?
I am trying to create a "generic" farm of Android devices for an openSTF instance, and would like to stack the devices, so it would be cool if they could be all the same ones.

XU4 is best supported by Android. There are people who have managed to run Android headless on HC1/2 so you could try that if you don't need a screen. MC1 should also work headless.

Thanks.
I don't need any screen.
OTG support would be better, so C2 may be a good choice too...

Yes. It's not a problem, but it would be more convenient to have an OTG card.
