Your very own Mobile Internet Device

Unread post by Jason_25 » Sun Jul 22, 2018 1:48 am

I would like to announce a project that I have been working on for a long time now. This is a MID or mobile internet device in the same vein and with the same unending promise as the pocket computers of old. Cellular-connected and running a full desktop operating system this device can enable you in a way that current hand-holding mobile platforms will not.

Previously I used the Raspberry Pi but I have recently transitioned into using the Odroid C0 for many reasons which you can see for yourself on the wiki.

If you have any questions or would just like to talk about MID development you can post here or on the issue tracker. Thanks and good luck.

It's a frankenphone! I like it. It should turn more heads than the latest iphone, but you couldn't walk through airport security with it..,

I am posting here again with good news. The project has been updated again to reinclude the Odroid c0. The project moved away from the device previously but with a fresh start the c0 works well so do not be afraid to give it a try again. There is really no SBC quite as unique as the Odroid c0 for these kinds of requirements. As always you can read all about the previous and now the new development on the site.
