Something has changed in Ubuntu 18.04 that doesn't allow ir-keytable to function the way it did previously.
With a standard configuration for the Hardkernel remote the button presses are registering but not actually doing anything.
I am attempting to diagnose why.

ir-keytable isn't a daemon, it writes a table to kernel memory AFAIK so nothing to follow.
I did try though.
It works exactly as it should except the key presses don't do anything.
