GBC: Zelda freeze at photographer

Unread post by Niels » Thu Jul 12, 2018 6:12 pm

Hi there,

I have a big problem with the game Zelda - Links awakening. I was going zu the photographer and looked at the picture he took of me.
Then I accidentally pressed the wrong button, the button for printing. Nothing has happened since then, the music continues, but I can not leave this screen.
Can anybody help? It would be a pity to have to start over again from scratch :-((

If you turn the device off and back on, the last saved state will be reloaded. The amount of progress lost will depend on when the game was last saved by pressing the Menu button.

Unfortunately, I quit the game at the point by pressing the menu button. Out of habit, I always do so ..... Was stupid, I know :-(
Perhaps there is a possibility to edit the savegame and delete the last saving point to use the one before?

If you did not open any other ROM since that Problem, you can delete the latest save state by erasing the ROM with the tools in the firmware update packages eraseall.sh

On a linux system it is simply:

Code: Select all

./eraseall.sh
Other systems are not supported by it.

If it has executable bit, sometimes shell scripts (*.sh) don't.

Code: Select all

chmod +x eraseall.sh
./eraseall.sh
This is just for reference in the future for @Niels

Won't help if you played another ROM.
