ODROID Updater ..

Unread post by Cartridge » Mon Jun 11, 2018 6:42 am

I'm trying to fix my father's computer and I can't get the Updater working on a fresh dd of the 4.4.4 image. I'm trying to install lollipop 5.1.1 CM.
The updater says downloading version file and stays at 0% but the window appears and dissapears so fast I can barely see it then the button download file and all those
stay grayed out I can't click them. Is there an older APK or newer APK I can use? I'm on a U2 plugged in with Ethernet and I have no WIFI dongle. I have ADB installed aswell on my linux laptop.

Yes that is the one, I already checked the URL myself to see if the file was there and it is but no matter which link that contains an update.zip just does not work.

If you haven't updated in a while (1+ years) it might be due to the fact that HK migrated to https and the old updater utility understands only http. See if you can update the utility first.

That's the problem, I can't find the newer updated "Updater", the only one I found is a reference to the C2 named "Utility" with the updater built in.

Maybe stupid hack for the problem. Setting up HTTP/FTP server and uploading the ZIP file to the proper path and temporary change route table or DNS in your home network to access the server instead of Hardkernel's server.

Maybe would better to ask Codewalker if he can build new updater with https.

Open browser.
Go to https://dn.odroid.com/4412/Android/4.4. ... /ODROID-U/
Download update.zip and update.zip.md5sum.
Open UltraExplorer.
Move update.zip and update.zip.md5um to /storage/sdcard0.
Open Odroid Updater.
You can find checksum value and 'Validate file' button to enable.
