'2018 National holidays in Korea

Lunar New Year Feb-15~17

Independence Movement Day Mar-1

Labour Day May-1

Children's Day May-5 (shifted to 7th)

Buddha's Day May-22

Memorial Day Jun-6

Local Election Day Jun-13

Liberation Day Aug-15

Hardvest Festival Holiday Sep-23 ~ 26

National Foundation Day Oct-3

Hangul Day Oct-9 (Korean Alphabet day)

Christmas Dec-25

There are 18 holidays in this year if you live in Korea.
And we can have additional 10~14 days of personal annual leave.
So the number of the total working days is around 230.

Just 10-14 days of leave? That's too little. Over here we start with 21 and they increase as we get older, and still there's not enough time to spend with the family... Don't let me get started about the French, who get about ~40 days off a year...

There are 365 days in a year, by my count that is 135 days off ;)

A weekend is not a day off! It's the day when you vacuum and do the groceries...

In the US a day not at work is a day off, we don't get many paid holidays. Vacuuming and groceries are done after work.

My wife works in retail, she gets 1 day off work. Christmas day. Other holidays she simply gets paid more.
