Video modes supported by the RK3399 / Mali-T860 MP4

What video modes does the RK3399 (Mali-T860 MP4) support, and how does one select a video mode on the N1? I'm especially interested in the X driver. By the way, who writes this driver? Rockchip?

I'm asking as I wonder if it'd be possible to connect the N1 to a 1024 x 768 pixel DLC projector or a 1280 x 1024 pixel LCD monitor using a HDMI-to-VGA converter. This is possible with the XU4 and works very well, so I'd like to know if it would also be possible with the N1. Thanks in advance!

Yes, Rockchip supplies the customized drivers.

Both 1024x768@60 and 1280x1024@60 worked on my 4k TV. Due to timing considerations, this does not guarantee they will work on any specific display; rather, it only confirms the modes are supported by the RK3399.

Thank you very much for confirming this! If needed, timings can be fine-tuned in xorg.conf, can't they?

Video modes are configured in the EDID present on the display or by specifying a custom EDID during boot. I do not know if xorg.conf is able to configure timings anymore or not. However, XRandR can.
