3.14 is my guess, though 3.16 has been tested and should work as well.

Kernel 4.17 has a number of S905-specific features and should hit stable next month. Fingers crossed...

Woohoo! I'm going to give it a go on a test system. Is the 4.14 variant officially supported as well? I see it in the mirrors, but not on the wiki.

Kernel has updated to 3.16 LTS from EOLed 3.14.
Since the upstream 4.17 still has some stability/compatibility issues(especially video decoder stuff), we might need to wait several more months probably.

Is anyone else having issue trying to SSH into the 18.04 image? I can login from a console, but SSH tells me "Permission denied" (user "odroid").

[edit]
I tried sftp and it worked. I then tried ssh again and it also worked.

Unfortunately, there is no way to upgrade due to some packages' compatibility issue.

I just noticed the minimal image for 18.04 is not yet available, when are you planing to release it? Will it be up gradable from previous version? Or will a new install be needed too?

Check Armbian Bionic, legacy kernel 3.16, which is also a minimal/server/iot Bionic and is/will be always upgradable from previous/next versions.
