IR on board question..

Unread post by phaseshifter » Wed May 16, 2018 3:03 pm

could i get the ir receiver on the c-2 to read and output codes either a hex code displayed or decimal whatever it may be when a remote is pointed at it and a button pressed...

well i guess a program that will output the code a programmed remote outputs..if that makes any sense

i have several remotes and want to check out if there actually putting out the same code`s etc when being used...

Do you use lirc for IR receiver? Then there a few commands such as irw or irrecord that dumps hexadecimal from received IR stream if LIRC protocol is matched.

ir-keytable can do this as well, and supports far more protocols than just lirc. It is usually packaged with v4l-utils or a similarly named package.
