GPIO Current

Unread post by Gerri3d » Wed May 16, 2018 1:20 pm

I want to use the GPIO for digital bit communication with a PLC (24V)

that menas 1.8V <-> 24V

What is the current of the GPIOs and is there a proofed solution?

I believe it's 300 mAh

But if you're asking what you need, it's a level shifter (converter).

This is not an example for ODROID, but could be similar to use.

XU4 GPIO max output current should be around 4mA.

The output current of each GPIO pin in pin header is 3~4mA.
