Is there another way to use opencl on Tizen OS?

Unread postby yuntk » Sat May 12, 2018 3:09 pm

I'd like to manipulate GPU to neural net.

My environment is odroid-xu4 and Tizen OS based linux kernel

I have googled about gpu to compute tensor, the recommended opencl and arm conpute library.

Fortunately arm provides libOpenCL.so for android and linux on this link(https://developer.arm.com/products/soft ... user-space)

I thought that TIZEN use libOpenCL.so as it is because Tizen OS based linux kernel. but it doesn't work properly..

I have successfully compile OpenCL example, The executable file prints error message(error while loading shared libraries: /lib/libOpenCL.so: internal error)

Is there another way to install opencl OS agnostic or to use Arm compute library without OpenCL?

Is there any specific reason to use the Tizen instead of the well-supported Ubuntu?
OpenCL 1.2 works out of the box if you choose Ubuntu.

Thanks for your reply and link.
I know.. ubuntu is more proper os on this case.
but we have to use Tizen. because main title of this project offered by college is 'Tizen and GPU'.
Could I get the OpenCL source or any information about manipulating mali GPU.

I have no idea how Tizen uses the GPU driver.
How did you build the Mali driver for Tizen? It seems to be very close to the Wayland API.
In that case, someone (ARM or Samsung) should provide you a Wayland driver with OpenCL.
