Lost root after update to 6.0.1 master 93

Unread post by flash608 » Sun May 06, 2018 1:38 am

Hello,

I was on v3.0 Android OS image and everything were great. Today I updated to v4.1 from Odroid Utility and I have lost Root.
Using KingoRoot works only until reboot.

Can ony one help me in that matter?

You have to go into developer settings and enable it, do not use KingoRoot

Sorry that I did not mention that before, but it was already ON before the update. After update it stayed ON at Apps & ADB. I tried to turn it off, reboot, turn on again, but no luck, couple of times.

Ok, I did get it working.

First I uninstalled current version of SuperSU, to do that I had to use KingRoot from PC to gain a temporary root (it's lost after reboot). Then I deleted SuperSu app from System/App because I set it as system app.
Next I installed SuperSU (eu.chainfire.supersu_v2.65-265) cause as I read over internet the newer versions are problematics. After installing su2.65 I uninstalled KingRoot, and made a SU binary upadte.
Google play automaticly updated SU and then once again I updated the binary of SU.

It seems like updating oDroid needs the older version of SU to work with root.

Sorry if my post is kinda unclear.
