amPlayer Issue?

Unread post by Bagman » Thu Feb 16, 2017 3:11 am

Having an issue since v2.8

We have an app that plays a series of videos on a loop. Recently since updating to v2.9 (up to v3.3) It does not matter which video we choose (mp4). This is a new issue on these versions since updating.. old versions work without issue.

we are having an issue where the video freezes on the last few frames. Any help would be appriciated

Basically it seems to send this out:

It is an in-house app sadly nothing i can share itself.

Videos are 1280x720 MP4, they are stored and played locally.

Size varies however an average is 6-8 megs.

The app checks a playlist and plays the videos on that list. In case a video is not available it skips and plays the next video on the list... however in this particular scenario all videos play in their entirety, none are missing from the playlist.. it just seems to randomly pause at the last frame. The video player still sees .isplaying() as true even in this situation.

I may have found the issue -- might not have anything to do with Odroid... or it may im not sure ...

Screen setting 720p in Odroid Utility

Video is attempting to play files at are 640 x 360..

in meantime if someone sees something, let me know. otherwise consider this pending.
Thanks !

Unless you're dynamically changing the output resolution of the C2 I can't imagine the file resolution has any impact.

That is what i am looking into. The app core was meant for 1280 x 720 (tested that way) it supports most other resolutions . It seems our settings on this particular video was changed and resulted in the scenario you are mentioning with dynamic resolution. This of course isnt something i expect as a feature and at the time i was at my wit's end so thought to look here. Hopefully I can confirm my suspicions shortly. Thanks for all of your time !
