I mean I can flash it to eMMC and run on my XU4 or XU3 without editing boot.ini or anything?

Like take CM 14 flashed eMMC out of XU3 and place in XU4.

Yes you can flash it without editing boot.ini, also you can update to cm-14 from cm-13 with Odroid Updater.

voodik grwt work. I guess you don't plan to relase CM 14.0 TV version. Can you guide us at least how to convert this version to TV version? Only Leanback launcher must be installed or this is not enough?

I think Bluetooth is very important thing for TV version. At this moment Bluetooth doesn't work on Android 6 and 7.
Anyway i planing release CM-14.0 TV version without Bluetooth support.

Hows the release coming along btw? The Nougat release for my PineA64+ boards is pretty neat, still plagued by bugs but it isnt based on CM14 like yours which is why I'm pumped for yours. I'll be rocking it daily for the next year. I just wish there was some decent surround sound support but my Yamaha receiver does a damn good job simulating it anyway. Like I said before if you get hung up and need some peeps to take a pair of fresh eyes on the image let us know (highly doubtful I know but it never hurts to offer right@)

The Samsung Exynos 5 Octa 5422 (XU4) can support displays with WQHD (2560 x 1440)

Can you implement 1440p (2560x1440)?

Can you implement support for "PS Move" and "PS4 Camera" with a short Android API?

Here is the Linux source code for the devices:

https://thp.io/2010/psmove/
https://github.com/longjie/ps4eye

Would be nice, then maybe we can use the PSVR with Android (I would develop some OpenGL code).

Is the XU4 limited by the HDMI port version to 1080p? The C2 has also only HDMI out, but he can show 2560x1440 pixels.

The C2 is HDMI 2.0 spec, the XU4 is HDMI 1.4a spec.

I believe the XU3 can display 2560x1600 using the display port, not the XU4 since this feature was cut to make the device less expensive.

Hey Voodik, thanks for the great work!

CM-14 is working great! I got 61944 on Antutu!

I know I had asked about CIFS support on Marshmallow, but if you could add it to this next release I would really appreciate it!

Thanks Again!

There is no hint to get root (this is the reason why the Odroid Updater is not working)

You should give the users more details how to install, update und get root.

And as I said... you should release update.zip and CM.. .img (SelfInstall) files for every update, because I didn't understood the whole thing in your mind.

For me and the most other users its clear to download a rom (.img) and burn it... start. That's it.

The steps:

- install .img
- root
- odroid updater

... are in my eyes to complicated.

Odroid is doing it right... all their images are rooted out of the box, and the release .img files. There is nothing to do.

How I can get the Ethernet IP Address?

How I can get access to CM with adb? (adb connect 192.168.3.202 is not working ... connection refused, with ODroid Firmware 4.4.1 this is working fine)

I've installed an app: "ADB Network Enable" ... its working, but it would be better if CM has it as default.

Yet again you amaze me. Well done sir!

I might have done something wrong, but last night I updated my Lollipop to Marshmallow in preparation for this. I just tried to update to CM14 using the update tool, but it didn't work. Everything appeared to behave as expected and even the checksum test passed. The XU4 rebooted and the heartbeat light started to blink. It then stayed on and the unit kept rebooting. It seemed to be stuck in this loop after 20 minutes with nothing on the TV, so I'm trying the other method of using dd with the SD2EMMC file. I have confidence that this will work, but I don't know why the Odroid Update tool didn't work.

Can't wait to give this a run!
Well done again.

@ElecDroid
The sources of CM-14.0 is in beta stage.
I think the lot of CM features will be ported sonn by CM staff (e.g. Quck Settings button for adb over network). BTW i can but i don't enable adb over network by default because this is security hole.
Features like a right mouse click, mouse wheel to zoom will be available in next build.

Thanks. Android 7 CM14 is working very stable at this time. Freeform Window Mode is nice: Android Desktop :-) (1080p is ok, but 1440p would be better)

GPIOs: Would be nice if they would work (also with "/dev/mem" mmap, it seems that wiringpi is not working). But this is only a nice to have :)

Playstation VR: I will try to make it work. Maybe you can try it by yourself with these sources, and support the PS Move + PS4 Stereo Camera (you have to use the USB 3.0 ports, the USB 2.0 port is not usable):

Very hard to port something without a hardware in this case i don't have a PS Move and PS4 Stereo Camera.

Spectacular work!

Seriously man I'm blown away at the smoothness of this realease. As I mentioned before I've been playing with a Nougat image on my Pine boards and they're buggy beyone belief so to see how polishied this first CM14 release is DAMN impressive! Only one bug so far, something came up telling me teh music app stopped working but I wouldnt call that a bug considering the first thing I do is remove those anyway. Thank you for my new daily Android OS. I shall report any bugs on the off chance they pop up.

Don't hesitate to pm me if you need any hardware for dev purposes (I've got lots of random goodies not in use, such as a dismantled Kindle Fire HD lol) or would rather me just donate to the beer fund! Or if you need a 16GB SanDisk Ultra, I have a few laying around I wouldn't mind sending you one as a thank you. Or maybe you'd like to tinker around with a first gen Xbox Kinect? I've got a few of those as well

Hi Voodik, is it possible that USB-3G will be supported in Marshmallow or Nougat anytime soon?
I realize not everyone needs it but for my purpose it will be critical since it's for car stereo.

He requested hardware, if you need your dongle supported I would send the exact model you need supported to him.

This feature in my todo list allready, i am finding 3g sticks for development.
BTW as Carpc owner i can suggest to you use in the car small routers with USB 3G support.
This like routers more stable than Android USB 3G support.

I know this is probably difficult to say, but for using it in a carpc I'll require bluetooth to be supported. Do you know what the issue is and whether it is something that could be solved? I saw that it was not supported in 6.0 either, so I'm guessing it's not very easy, but considering how happy people are with the stability of this release already, I'm hoping there will be a solution soon.

I've just updated to 7.0 from 6.0. It took over 15 minutes.

My Antutu score is 60201. It is a quite nice number.

Kodi 17 Beta 3 is also working. H.264 HW acceleration is enabled well.

I will test the CEC functionality on a Samsung and a LG TVs within two hours.

CEC test result.
1 x Samsung TV works fine.
1 x LG 42" TV works fine.
1 x LG 32" TV doesn't work. :(

Do you have any keyword to search the logcat & dmesg output to check the CEC interface?
