last night, I fixed my thermal camera.
There was a hole in center of the nvme, now I can confirm it was heat sink.
heat sink is slight cooler than surroundings.

Probably not. Metal objects reflect IR and often appear on thermal cameras colder than they actually are.
I used to work in radiator factory, and chrome coated models always appeared as completely cold in thermal imaging (or even reflected my heat back to a camera!). We sticked pieces of colored tape on them to measure their performance in a few points.

There are reflections on M1's HDMI, USB ports. even QC sticker is +10C higher.
I wonder is there any none-contact method to measure temperature on shinny surface.

pool read is over +200MB/s, sha256sum, md5sum are slower than expected.
md5sum can calculate at 110MB/s. sha256sum was 69MB/s.

I should diff directly with nfs mount.

finished diff largest directory, about 30TB.
I made per file md5sum list, 71746 lines of hash + filepath.
didn't used nfs, because I need network disconnection.

result ? no misshashed file. all 71746 files had same md5sum result.
finally, I got 3 copies of my data.

I think M1 an this controller works very well and reliable.
there was only few kernel message about ethernet disconnection, caused by router update and unpluging to test odroid C4.

I need full speed 2.5Gbps ethernet.

Other than an ATX supply or maybe a PicoPSU, anyone have creative suggestions on how to power 5 SSDs as opposed to 5 spinning disks?

2.5" SATA SSD will not consume power over 8Watt probably.
Therefore, 5V/8A or 5V/10A PSU with a SATA power splitter cables might be sufficient.

little bit tired of repositioning my JMB585.

I sent my M1 and sata controller to hardkernel service team.
but they could not test it. because it didn't worked at all with default linux image.
I could not ask them to recompile kernel and test it on other M1.

service team called me many times to verify problems, and kinda nice.

I'll test nvme ssd with 5 disk array with sata mulipler.
this setup can use ssd as zfs cache device.
