Thanks for sharing the photos. I'm just using standard cables, the ones in the photos above and haven't used a 12v fan in this configuration. I currently run a Cloudshell4-MiniXL with 2.5" drives and don't use a rear fan either. Another user in a PM indicated they were running a 12v fan off of the 12v rail for the hard drives. They didn't indicate any details so you might want to take a look at the schematic on the wiki. Maybe someone with direct experience will share what they have done. A 5v USB fan is also a possibility. For angled cables like your link shows, I've seen these things mislabeled many times so be aware of the direction(right vs left angle or up vs down) your buying and clearance issues.

Alright. I ordered now this SATA adapter to use a SATA extension cable to power a drive and a 12V fan with it. I report if it works as expected.

Hey there,
after a short testing phase I decided to create a 140mm to 92mm fan adapter to cool the whole thing (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3061872). Works pretty fine without a top 40mm SoC cooler.

Heck the fan that comes with it is too much, that's why it also comes with the resistor to slow it down.

Still like what you did, especially if it's quiet.

The power jack perhaps, I can't remember if it's 12v or higher.

It's 15v so you could use a 24v fan and it would run at around half speed. That is a good question.

Version update 1.3.0 is now available and includes the Odroid-M1 and 3 new case for the M1. The project has been migrated to the SBC Case Builder Library and the latest version of the SBC Model Framework is now included in the distribution. The MTEXT errors have been fixed in all DXF files along with other maintenance and minor fixes. Pre-compiled STL’s for the Odroid-M1 cases are not included in this distribution due to size limitations but are available in the Cloudshell4 M-Series post.

Hello,
This is my very first post to this forum and I would like to thank you for this awesome design

I was looking for a nice case after I've bought my HC4 and found yours a few weeks ago. So I decided to print mine
This was a nice challenge, it took a little of time but finally it's operational !

I'm currently using only one 3.5" HDD, but I built the version that can host 2 3.5" HDD... for the future.
The parts fit very well together. I just had to sand a little the RearFan and the RearDeck parts to close the case. Unfortunately, I have bought the SATA cables before I saw your design : they are pretty long (45 cm) and there not so remaining space in the case. But for the moment it's ok!

The colors are not chosen on purpose : I was just finishing a spool of red PLA and have just enough for the top, rear and front parts then I started my next spool, a black one, for the sides and the bottom. I like the result

About the fan, I first used a 92mm fan, from an old PC case, but it was too noisy, even powered at 5V. As I also have some much quieter 80mm fans, I started to search for an adapter 92-to-80 but I was not happy with the models I have found and I wanted to keep the box as short as possible. Thus, I tried to understand the Openscad files and managed to draw a dxf file for a 80mm fan (see zip file for dxf ans stl). I printed it and it fits.

To power the fan, I have soldered a male 3-pin fan connector to one of the SATA power cable as I want to keep the USB port free and that works.

Finally, I added a fan connector on the 12V SATA power, as I found a very silent 80mm fan in my stock of old fans, but this one is not efficient at all when powered at 5V. Now its cool and quiet. But I should not put too many fans, else it might take off
