We've released a demo video to show a capability of realtime object detection by using hardware accelerated Neural-Network Processing Unit (NPU) in M1.

Re: Realtime NPU object detection demo
it looks great! Now I need to train it to look at my infinite number of lego pieces and find the one I'm looking for!

Or detect bots on the forum... Train it against the posts deleted in the past and report to mod team automatically

Re: Realtime NPU object detection demo
There's a risk in doing that. Some bots would copy previous posts and insert a link inside. An AI could flag legitimate posts, even if they're on topic.mctom wrote:Or detect bots on the forum... Train it against the posts deleted in the past and report to mod team automatically
Edit: Come to think of it, it's not a bad idea. Some have already started: https://github.com/MGCodesandStats/tensorflow-nlp.
Not sure if tensorflow can use the NPU currently.

Re: Realtime NPU object detection demo
The traffic is so slow I don't think NPU is necessary, but tensorflow should work on NPUs. Wasn't that the original idea behind it?
Until we find a better solution, posts from completely new users could be moderated (not published unless accepted by the moderator). First one or two will be enough.
I know it's a burden, but not as bad as removing the mess created by the bots.
I admit I was a co-founder and administrator of a forum of similar magnitude for some 7 years, but we never ran into such problems - it was "members only" and there was no registration form at all.
