ODROID C4 running Ubuntu 20.04 minimal with Xorg and chromium.
We've been using a Beetronics 7" capacitive touch screen on Raspberry Pi 4 with Raspbian for a while. I'm trying to get the touch screen working with the C4 now but not finding drivers. Beetronics just lists "3rd Party PCAP driver" in their driver section for Linux. I reached out to them for help and their only suggestion was TouchLib. But I don't see how I would install that.
Can anyone offer any help, suggestions, starting points, other questions?

Is that touchscreen working on a generic x86 Ubuntu PC without installing extra drivers?
In that case, check which optional device drivers are loaded by looking into "lsmod" and "lsusb" outputs.

Thanks for your reply. I don't have an x86 Ubuntu PC to test on. But if that's the best next step, then I'll work on it.

Or, you can try running those commands on your rpi4 probably.

Re: Help with Beetronics 7TS7M Capacitive Touch Screen Driver
Perfect, thanks!
I was able to compare lsmod between two Pis; one with the pcap screen and one with just a monitor.
The differences were evdev, joydev, and hid_multitouch.
On the C4, I was missing evdev. I got that fixed and now everything is working correctly!

Glad to hear that.
Thank you for sharing your solution.
BTW, which kernel version do you run on your C4?
We will add the missing drivers to the next update packages.

Re: Help with Beetronics 7TS7M Capacitive Touch Screen Driver
4.9.277-83
Edit:
Note that I installed Ubuntu minimal and then added Xorg and other items myself, so this was likely just my fault.

Well understood.
In that case, we don't need to change the current kernel configuration.
