If it is the TRIM function, I don't know.
Find the mount point of the drive:

Code: Select all

mount | grep /dev/sda
Issue the "fstrim" command using the mount point previously shown

Code: Select all

sudo fstrim -v /where/the/drive/is/mounted

The copy process of the same 1 GB file on Windows also shows now 35 MB.

I ordered now a SATA to USB adapter. I will make a test with the same 1 GB file to see how fast the transfer will be.

Furthermore, I have a second 240 GB SSD, I will also try this with my current OMV 5 setup.

If the SATA speed test is positive and the 240 GB SSD shows the same problem, I will set up OMV 4 to double check if I see a speed increase.

Is there a general problem with OMV 5 and write/read speeds?

Edit:
It's working again. I almost installed OMV 4, but I saw that there have been some updates within the last few days, and so I installed them. Voilà! My write and read speeds are back.

I even tested it now with my 240 GB SanDisk SSD Plus:
