Odroid H2 - RAM Compatibility

Hello,

Probably it's expected, but I managed to start the ODROID H2 with 1x8GB Samsung M471A1K43CB1-CTD memory board: https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/d ... 43CB1-CTD/

I used one ram board, 1TB WD Black HDD on SATA. I run Ubuntu, and I managed to create a counter strike server. It's running for 3 days. Let me know If you need some other tests.
Could you please add this memory board on the Compatibility List ? Thanks

Hi,

I have a pair of Kingston KVR24S17S8/4, DDR4 2400Mhz, 1Rx8, 4GB each. I put to my H2 board as single and dual setup, but my H2 board cannot boot.
I can see all three LEDs are on (2 blue and 1 red).
I also have tried a Hynix 24S17S8/4, DDR4 2400Mhz, 2Rx8, 4GB, but still it cannot work on the board.
Next, I plan to try a Hynix HMA851S6AFR6N, DDR4 2400Mhz, 1Rx16, 4GB since someone from other thread in this forum have succeed using it.
I'll update the result.

The BIOS version is okay.

I think "KVR24S17S8" must be compatible with H2.
So you might need to contact the local shop to replace or refund if HMA851S6AFR6N doesn't work either.

Ok, this is good news for me, Hynix HMA851S6AFR6N 4GB works on my H2 board. So, it confirms my guess that 1Rx16 modules work consistently on Odroid H2.
Before this, the board seller shows working H2 video with a V-Gen 1Rx16 RAM module. Below is the HMA851S6AFR6N test result.

the SK Hynix 2666 8gb ddr4 ram worked with the H2+, it automatically steps down to 2400 and works, have 2x 8gbs currently installed

Since this Intel SoC supports up to DDR4-2400, your module should work at 17-17-17-39 probably.
How could you feel it running at 13-13-13-32-45?

Not sure where is the right place to report this, but Hynix HMA81GS6AFR8N-UH 8GB (not in the list of compatible RAM) works well on H2+.
Obtained it from a Lenovo laptop after the upgrade.

I have problems with the Crucial CT16G4SFD824A.C16FDD1 RAM modules on the ODROID H2+ and H2.

One works alone (1x16GB / DIMM1 or DIMM2), together 32GB (2x16GB / DIMM1 and DIMM2) does not start H2 / H2+.
These are produced in 08/2021.
Currently Test-Setup in the H2+ with Net Card GLK-ESF 1.23 BIOS

I have older ones from 44/2019, these work together 32GB (2x16GB DIMM1 and DIMM2) on H2 (CT16G4SFD824A.C16FBD1)

anyone have an idea? :?:

Both CT16G4SFD824A.C16FDD1 and CT16G4SFD824A.C16FBD1 have the same RAS-CAS cycles at 17-17-17-39?

BTW, I've added "CT16G4SFD824A.C16FDD1" to the black list.

@odroid I've just put 2x 16GB Crucial Ballistix into my H2 setup, and I have to report that after a few initial reboots (no HDMI output, the unit would start up and shut down after a few seconds), it settled and is now working perfectly. ID of this specific model is BL2K16G26C16S4B.
