Can you test this version for video issues ?
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mDagiu ... sp=sharing

i make tests with demo exoplayer app from play store. Also tried Youtube, Kodi, DASH, h264, h265, VP9, 4K playback everything works.
@voodik it seems that no one as tested it.
I tried it even if i have no need of video.

Youtube is playing black screen, don't know why.
I tried vlc, 4k is not working with x264 or x265, but i think it's because i have vu7a+ so perhaps it needs resolution conversion?
vlc 1080p is working perfectly with h264, i have no h265 to test.

For those who wanna make backup:
I use sdcard with Ubuntu, because it does not work for me with Android terminal, or adb shell.
I leave emmc to backup, put sdcard, start odroid with SBI mode.
Once in Ubuntu, open mate terminal then:

Code: Select all

sudo dd if=/dev/mmcblk0 of=/media/usb0/backup.img bs=1M
Replace of=.... with path of USB Key or drive where you will place your backup IMG. Check with explorer.

To restore backup, start Ubuntu, then:

Code: Select all

sudo dd if=/media/usb0/backup.img o+f=/dev/mmcblk0 bs=1M
Thanks to mad_ady from viewtopic.php?f=52&t=22930
Just tested with vu7+/vu7a+ resolutions, everything works as expected, Youtube, 4k, VLC, Kodi, Mx Player. H264, H265.
Rarely some 4k mp4 videos have a playback problems. But this files normally playing with Kodi.
I think is not good idea play 4K videos with 1024x600 display ;)

Btw no black screen on Youtube or Somewhere else.
Try clean install with selfinstall image.

I have no need of playing video for my project so it's not a problem, that was just for testing purposes.
i don't think i will clean install because i have so much work with gpio, i don't want to loose something.

Just tested this so anyone BE AWARE that changing the display to RGB or turning off color depth will give you a black screen of death! I tried turning off color depth, and it crashed with a black screen and now all I get is a black screen. I tested this twice and the only option is to reburn the image :(

The controller compatibility is EXCELLENT with the PS4 Dualshock! Even the touchpad works and clicks like a mouse! Excellent, especially convenient when I don't feel like using my wireless keyboard! πŸ‘πŸ» @voodik

@voodik Just letting you know I tested the new Alpha-v0.6 self install image and videos (even the 4K) seem to work fine on my app using exoplayer. Thank you very much!!

@zyssai I'm not sure if it is related or helpful, but I tried the Youtube app and tried to view a video (with the Alpha-v0.5 build) and was also getting a dark screen for videos. But, according to logcat, I was getting 403 errors.

Do you have the same problem of dark screen with youtube on alpha 0.6?

@zyssai I just did a quick test with the Youtube app. It played the first video I clicked on fine (with Magisk installed with no modules) and even showed the small video in the corner when the app wasn't in the foreground.

Hi guys,

I was just wondering if anybody was able to get GPIO shortcuts working in this version? I've added
fdt set /gpio_keys_polled status "okay"
to boot.ini and setup F7 key to launch an app but it doesn't seem to work. Am I missing something?

Thanks!

Hi,
I installed te latest magisk (22) because I want to use rclone-mount to mount at boot my NAS.
I got a bad surprise when I discovered that rclone module doesn't work well in android 11: the bin files aren't copied in the system/bin folder. They are located in data/adb/modules/com.piyushgarg.rclone/ .
I tried to copy them from that folder to system/bin, but they are erased every reboot.
Then I set export PATH=$PATH:/data/adb/modules/com.piyushgarg.rclone/ but then again at every reboot the path is reseted to default.
I tried to copy them booting in the recovery, but I can't find them.
Is there a way to solve this issue? I don't want to roll back at the 17.1 version.

Thanks for confirmation that gpioshutdown works ok. I am dealing with GPIO power management externally so that's fine too as builtin GPIO power function in env.ini is working fine. However I may need to triger some apps by GPIO interrupt.
@voodik not sure if it's a bug or I am doing something wrong but GPIO polling stopped working after lingeaos 16 v0.4 (it was working fine and from version 0.5 and higher I am struggling to get it to work). Any idea or suggestion please?

Thanks

I think I found a workaround.
I copied the necessary files from the module directory to the system/xbin folder, using the adb push command. Then I modified the permissions (0755) of the executable files and rebooted.

Hi,
did someone managed to have audio passthrough over hdmi in KODI?
I have the latest version (matrix) and the passthrough option is empty.

I tried VLC, but I doesn't work. I can check the passthrough option, but I get a stereo signal to my AV receiver.

Hi.
Did someone experience problems with Bluetooth?
I have connection timed out error with csr4.0 dongle while connecting to Chinese amplifier Sennuopu DP-X10.
Connection works perfectly from my phone.
Thanks!

Hey voodik and thank your for work!

I was wondering whether you could possibly add driver support for the RTL8761B Bluetooth card into your Android and Android TV images?
The driver was recently added to coreelec (https://github.com/CoreELEC/CoreELEC/co ... d17b0fcd94) and works really well.

Thank you in any case!

Try to disable "Stay awake" option from Developer settings.

Yes it will remove root. You would need to install the Magisk binary again.

On Android does not work sudo. Try without it. And it seems that you must put this commands from an adb shell where you have root.
Another method is to install the magisk zip by the recovery menu.
