INA231 Support in Ubuntu mate 20.04

Post by Danny18 »

Luckily I finally got one piece of XU3 board to measure power consumption of cores. However, after I installing 20.04 i found there is no ina-231 folder under /sys/....
And I also failed tryingl to modprobe the ina231-sensor module. Is it support in 20.04? Or I have to use an old version of ubuntu mate?

We've not used 20.04 image on the XU3.
Can you check 'dmesg' output to make sure your board was detected as an XU3 or XU3L?

Also try older images to narrow down root causes.

I check the dmesg using dmesg | head -30. And line 6 is
: OF: fdt: Machine Model: Hardkernel Odroid XU3

So the board is correctly detected. I will try a 18.04 or even older version.

Yes, the 18.04 version works.
