Re: amule daemon on HC1 / XU4?
Canonical Ubuntu 20.04 seems not to support the amule-daemon package.

Re: amule daemon on HC1 / XU4?
I see, do you think is possible with another OS?
i tried mldonkey-server , installed but i coud not log into the interface neither with telnet nor webinterface, permission denied, i am a linux noob by the way.
downloads.ini was not created so i could not set any setting for allowed ips.
If anyone wants to give it a try:
http://mldonkey.sourceforge.net/Quickstart_guide
i used sudo apt install mldonkey-server instead of aptitude install mldonkey-server method of the link if it makes any sense.

Debian Stretch (Debian 9) is the older version of the OS Debian Buster (Debian 10) is the current version of the OS.
Both still have support, but of cause Debian Buster is newer and has newer programs/drivers

Re: amule / mldonkey on HC1 / XU4?
After opening the amule ports in the router and restarting the HC1 it seems to work i downloaded a file at good speed with kad network. I controll it through amuleGUI program from a Windows machine in the same network.
Now i have to change the hard drive for a bigger one, install samba to share the directories and access the content, let's see how it goes.
I sent you a donation, nice image.

Re: amule / mldonkey on HC1 / XU4?
I have problems with the samba shared folders.
I followed the steps in the wiki and everything works, i can see the share from windows and login with credentials.
The problem is i can not write to that folder from windows, with the previous image i could set the permissions from windows.
So, how i can give write access to a windows machine but with a password?
This is my smb.conf:

Re: amule / mldonkey on HC1 / XU4?
i can confirm everything seems to work well, so it's possible to have an emule box on a NAS HC1, next i´ll try a bittorrent client
