[SOLVED] XU4 HDD offline

Post by elle01 »

i ran in an issue by creating a backup of my nextcloud.
the backup tool is back in time with rsync.

Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS
Linux odroid 5.4.87-218

if've searched problems with uas, because the /var/log/syslog have kernel messages with uas_eh_abort_handler (see attachments)

Code: Select all

odroid kernel: [ 271.339878] sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] tag#28 uas_eh_abort_handler 0 uas-tag 16 inflight: CMD IN
and find:
viewtopic.php?f=181&t=35031&sid=37821db ... 0e79455602
I've tryed differnt max_sectors_kb from the workaround but the issue comes again. (Standard 512, 256, 128, 64, 32, 16, 12)

before disconnect:

Code: Select all

odroid@odroid:~$ lsusb -t

I heard from some users Seagate storage devices had serious stability issues with Linux UAS driver.
Add a USB storage quirk option something like this in the kernel parameter by editing boot.ini or config.ini file.
usb-storage.quirks=0x0bc2:0x2322:u

to the

Code: Select all

setenv bootargs
in /media/boot/boot.ini
after restart the Driver changes from uas to usb-storage

Code: Select all

odroid@odroid:~$ lsusb -t

Looks fine.
Please share any news once you complete/incomplete an rsync process.
