[N2Plus] All 4 USB ports not working (no 5V)

Post by cbreak »

Hi,
very same issue as described in pervious thread.
Before the malfunction, I only plugged in the mouse, keyboard, WIFI and Bluetooth, but never plugged in the USB hard drive.
The 4 USB ports have no 5V voltage now, and my N2+ only worked for two weeks.

Where/when did you purchase your N2+ board?

Can you please take a picture of the PCB surface to check the manufacturing date?

I purchased N2+ from Ruten, Taiwan, and it arrived on January 14 2021.

Im just guessing, but Q1 and Q2, are looking quite empty. On the wiki image of the n2+ there are two voltage regulators.
Please be careful with 18V on your odroid n2: viewtopic.php?f=181&t=40692&p=309707#p309707

@cbreak,
You bought an 2020 October production batch.
A 5 Volt step-down DCDC regulator or USB hub controller seems to be damaged by uncertain electrical shock just after two weeks of working period.
Please contact your local distributor for RMA or replacement.

Q1 and Q2 were not voltage regulator. Open a new topic if you need further hardware explanation.
