Odroid H2+ Ethernet Issue

Post by nabatta »

Hello! I have an Odroid H2+ and I am having some issues with the ethernet connection. I have installed all the proper drivers and the ethernet used to work fine. However, I moved buildings and am using a new network and for some reason the connection no longer works. Every time I insert the ethernet cord I get an error that says, "Activation of Network Connection Failed." I know the issue is not the ethernet port or cord because I have tested both of those. I have also tested both ports on the Odroid. Connecting to WiFi also still works.

Finally, I have reinstalled network manager as well but didn't have any luck with that. Below are some details:

Code: Select all

ip addr show
1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000
    link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00

3: enp3s0: <NO-CARRIER,BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq state DOWN group default qlen 1000

    inet6 fe80::44f2:9dca:9536:6d27/64 scope link noprefixroute

If there is anything else I can show that would be helpful, please let me know. I am very lost as to why it is not working. Thank you!

Ok, I see that your network uses 802.1x (EAP), so you'll need to configure it in network manager (and get the credentials from your network admin). When EAP authenticates you, the switch port will be configured with the correct vlan and you should reach the dhcp server.
