FFMPEG hardware encoding for CCTV Box

Hi!

im using Motioneye on my N2 to record multiple cctv cameras and need some help setting up hardaware encoding of video since passthrough is getting annoying to deal with :S

Motioneye uses ffmpeg as the backend and it sees that i have h264/V4L2M2M and h264/OMX as options for hardware encoding but both of them do nothing. when i do ffmpeg -hwaccels it says i have vdpau,vaapi,drm and opencl as hardware acceleration methods but i cant see any way to make motioneye take advantage of any of them.

Im a bit of a noob so sorry if the solution is something easy that i missed

Unfortunatelly, there is no easy solution. ffmpeg does not (yet) support hardware encoding on Amlogic boards. They do have encoders, but are proprietary.
On the c2 I was able to use c2enc and c2cap to pipe encoded camera data to ffmpeg, but I had a 5-6s delay between video and audio.

It might work on the N2, but not sure how easy it's to integrate with other projects.
